ECRI publishes Statistical Packages 2010
The European Credit Research Institute (ECRI) has published the 2010 edition of its Statistical Packages. Since 2003, ECRI has published a highly authoritative, widely cited and complete set of statistics on consumer credit in Europe, a valuable research tool which allows users to make meaningful comparisons between all 27 EU member states as well as with a number of selected non-EU countries, including the US and Canada.
Two Statistical Packages are on offer. The more comprehensive "Lending to Households in Europe (1995-2009)" covers the entire retail loan market, including time series on consumer credit, housing loans and other loans to households as well as loans to non-financial corporations and total credit to the non-financial business and household sector.
In addition, national accounts data such as gross disposable income or final consumption expenditure are also available. The 'standard' "Consumer Credit in Europe (1995-2009)" exclusively covers consumer credit and national accounts data. In addition to expanding the scope by three countries, this 2009 edition now also features breakdowns of credit statistics by loan maturity as well as currency in which they are denominated. Furthermore, the packages include data converted into 2005 prices in order to enable the analysis of inflation-adjusted time series.
