Statistical Package
European Credit Research Institute offers different statistical packages. These packages give you an overview over the developments in European consumer credit markets over the past ten years. The ECRI Statistical Packages are provided to members of ECRI, but also to the general public which can order the publication for a fee. The ECRI Statistical Package is a comprehensive collection of statistical data on consumer credit and lending to households. It covers 30 countries, including all 25 EU member states, three candidate countries and in addition the US and Japan. Published annually, the latest edition (ECRI Statistical Package 2006) covers the period 1995 - 2005. The collection contains series of nominal data on major variables in consumer credit analysis, such as consumer credit stocks, private consumption and household disposable income. The data is presented in Euro and in national currencies. It includes the composition of loans extended by financial institutions to the private sector. Distributions of consumer credit stocks by lender and by instrument are presented for selected countries. We have a lot of requests for data on individual countries or years. Unfortunately, we cannot provide access to this single data lines to the public. The collection and compilation of the above data is time and cost intensive, therefore we only provide it to members of ECRI for free.

The package has become a valuable research tool that allows users to make meaningful comparisons between all 27 EU member states as well as with a number of selected non-EU countries, including the US and Canada.
